Convert image to JPG

Turn a PNG, WebP, HEIC or screenshot into a JPG that every website accepts. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

Your photo is processed in your browser and is never uploaded.

How to convert an image to JPG

  1. Tap Choose a photo and pick a PNG, WebP, HEIC or other image.
  2. Leave the boxes empty to keep the full size, or enter a max KB size or pixel dimensions.
  3. Tap Download JPG.

Why convert to JPG?

Many websites and online forms accept only JPG or JPEG files. Screenshots are usually PNG, images saved from websites are often WebP, and iPhone photos are HEIC. Converting them to JPG means the upload works the first time, and the file is usually much smaller too.

What happens to transparency?

JPG doesn't support transparent backgrounds, so transparent areas in a PNG become white. That's what most forms expect for signatures and logos.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert a PNG to JPG?

Choose the PNG above and tap Download JPG. The JPG keeps the same width and height as the original.

Can I convert HEIC to JPG?

Yes, in Safari on iPhone, iPad or Mac. Other browsers may not be able to open HEIC files.

Does converting to JPG reduce quality?

Very little. DocSlim saves the JPG at high quality, so it looks the same on screen.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The compression runs inside your browser on your own device. Your photo is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you compress.

Why is the result a little under the limit instead of exactly the limit?

Forms reject files that are even one byte over. DocSlim counts 1 KB as 1,000 bytes and aims just below your limit, so the file passes whether the website counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.
